Hip pain

Hip pain is one of the most common problems that Dr. Hamilton treats in his office. Many different pathologies can cause hip pain. They depend on age, location of the pain, duration of symptoms, and other factors.

If you see Dr. Hamilton in the office for the treatment of hip pain, he will ask you questions about the pain, review x-rays, perform a physical exam, and help provide a diagnosis. Some of the common diagnoses that cause hip pain include hip osteoarthritis, hip osteonecrosis (also called avascular necrosis or AVN), trochanteric bursitis, labral tear, hip fracture, and lumbar spine arthritis. He also treats hip pain after the joint has been replaced.
