Knee pain is one of the most common reasons for patients to visit Dr. Hamilton. Knee pain can be caused by a multitude of different reasons, which depend upon age, what started the pain, what makes the pain worse, and what treatments have worked or not worked to help the pain.
When you see Dr. Hamilton in the office for knee pain, he will ask you questions about the pain, review x-rays, do a detailed physical exam, and work towards a diagnosis. Sometimes advanced imaging, such as an MRI, is necessary to help figure out what is causing the pain.
The most common reasons for knee pain include, but are not limited to, knee osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, meniscus tear, ACL tear, MCL or LCL injuries, and OCD lesions. Dr. Hamilton also treats knee pain after joint replacement. His goal is to help come up with the correct diagnosis, and work together with the patient to create a treatment plan.
